Iguanas and crocodiles in Mexico have become so common for a long time that they live here as a pet. I had a huge number of opportunities and time to observe both of them with my own eyes, for me it was really exotic, but for local residents it was an ordinary day in their life.
My room window had an amazing view of the Mexican lagoon, where every morning there was really something to see. Every morning I watched crocodiles lazily swim up to the shores.
Real iguanas were walking in the garden of the hotel where I had booked a room online. In general, in Mexico, iguanas literally at every step, scurry here and there, and I could get used to this sight only after a few days.
In the period from May to October on the shores of the Caribbean coast, you can observe huge turtles, I never saw them, but the locals told me that recently they have become very few of them swim here, they rarely see turtles.
You can see huge turtles in the Riviera-Maya region, it is worth noting that these natural bays in Mexico are strictly protected, for hunting turtles they give a prison term of up to three years.
